Dr. Janani Sankar, MBBS, DNB (Pediatrics), Ph.D., MAMS, is the Medical Director of Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital, Chennai. With over three decades of pediatric practice, she specializes in hematology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. She has authored 70+ indexed publications, served as President of IAP Chennai (2019), and continues to shape pediatric healthcare and education nationally
Dr. Janani Sankar is a senior pediatrician and Medical Director of Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital (KKCTH), Chennai, where she has been associated since her postgraduate days in 1992. A clinician, researcher, and teacher, she holds an MBBS, DNB in Pediatrics, Ph.D., and MAMS, and has contributed extensively to pediatric hematology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. She has published over 70 papers in indexed journals, authored 10 textbook chapters, and served in leadership roles including President of IAP Chennai (2019), Executive Board Member of IAP (2021, 2023), and Chairperson of IAP TN Infectious Diseases Chapter (2021–23). She is also a WHO expert committee member for dengue guidelines and continues to mentor postgraduate students and fellows in pediatric hemato-oncology.
