Call NowHelp Us Fight Type 1 Diabetes in Children and provide Insulin treatment: Every Donation Counts
Dear Supporters,
About Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes, is a disease affecting children, adolescents and young adults where there is high glucose in the body. This is due to decreased or absent production of insulin. This results in very high blood glucose levels causing life-threatening problems. Insulin is life-saving treatment in these children and requires to be given as injection to prevent serious medical problems and long term complications. There is no known cure for this condition.

Affected children develop excessive thirst, excessive urination, weight loss and tiredness. Symptoms develop very quickly within a couple of weeks requiring admission to hospital. Insulin injections are given 4 times a day and blood glucose levels tested frequently. Treatment has to be continued lifelong along with dietary control with regular follow up in the hospital.
Why We Need Your Help:
- Medical Treatment: Daily insulin injections and glucose testing costs about Rs.1,50,000 /child for 1 year. Many families struggle to afford these daily treatments, facing significant financial stress.
How You Can Make a Difference:
Your generous donations will directly support:
- Insulin costs: Insulin is life-saving and has to be available continuously. This is to be kept in the fridge and taken as injection before meals.
- Glucose testing strips: Testing the blood glucose at home is essential for checking the diabetes control and plan insulin treatment and diet.
- Three monthly blood tests: Regular blood and urine tests are required on 3 monthly and yearly basis along with eye tests yearly. This is to look for any complications.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to improving the lives of those with Type 1 diabetes. Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of those battling Type 1 diabetes. Your support and generosity can bring hope, relief, and a brighter future to countless families.
